PARTAY! was founded in March of 2017, from very humble beginnings, by members of the Parker and Taylor families, Since, we have created a boutique operation, supporting installers and general consumers looking for viable, less expensive alternatives for projection screens.

Danny, who narrates the video marketing, comes from a background of live event experience covering sound design, rigging, engineering, recording as well as lighting design, rigging, orchestration and automation. His work has covered areas from the mid-west, New York and areas across the southern states.

Along with his sons and brother-in-law, Jason, they began small, focusing their attention to house of worship sound, light and media installs.

How did they end up in the projection screen space?

Well, truth is, at first they weren’t.

Of course they installed projectors and screens of various types, but other than consultative recommendations, that is where it ended.

When, Danny decided to buy a nice projector for himself as well as a screen designed to marry with his type of projector. Quickly, it became apparent that while BIG, the experience suffered unless he was in a dark room or what is referred to as a ‘controlled’ environment. Paying more attention to performance in installations as well as at home, they began to wonder….could they make a better screen? Knowing that high performance screens were out of reach for many small commercial and family budgets, So, PARTAY! utilized the brightest minds available in the field of optics and coatings and after months of trial and error, PARTAY!s line of high performance screens emerged.

What is a plasticized screen?

PARTAY! utilizes a mix of polymers and resins along with reflective and proprietary additives in specifically sequenced layers or ‘stages’ to achieve high quality imaging on our screens. This sequencing system varies by screen color and targeted projection types (LT/ST/UST) and was designed to compete with similar layering systems of trailblazing companies on the ambient light screen stage.

Unfortunately, PARTAY! screens do not yet incorporate light rejecting surface structures. This is an expensive process that requires highly accurate optical layer bonding and complex manufacturing techniques that quickly escalate pricing.

Our approach emulates such manufacturing processes by spraying/curing/lensing each layer applicable to the screen’s targeted purpose and using proprietary diffusion additives to vary light scatter patterns., providing an inexpensive alternative with performance that closely mimics that of more expensive manufactured screens.

The PARTAY! line-up of DIY Coatings take an amalgam approach to this layering by consolidating these layering traits into formulas that are easy and flawless to apply.

Why different layering sequences?

Based upon the type of projector you use, maximizing image brightness requires different layering patterns and in some cases, surface treatment. No need to worry, this is all-inclusive in our pricing and is necessary to ensure you get optimal imaging performance. The diagrams to the left and below are provided to help you understand, graphically, how different projectors work, reflective-wise.

PARTAY! will help you through the selection process by discussing factors all relevant to selecting a screen that is a great match for your viewing environment!

When you purchase a PARTAY! screen or DIY Coating product, you will have the comfort of knowing you have a pliable plastic-on-plastic screen. that stands up well to children’s hands, food and drink. our screens are easily cleaned with a dry cloth and if needed, a damp, soft cloth.
